technocracy to technopoly

Technolgy has grown rapidly over the decades. Technoply has been apart of this transformation. For example, in chp.3 of technolgy, it describes the transformation from technocracy to technopoly. Since day one humans have been working thier minds to invent machines to create a technology runned world. In today's society we have humans making machines that make machines it's ridonkolous. When will it ever stop? This relates to the novel Brave New World which talks about machinery taking over humans. Which in my opinion could happen in the near future.
The industry of invention came about in the ninteenth century where most of modern inventions came from.In Technology, Postman describes, " Alfred North Whitehead summed it up best when he remarked that the greatest invention of the nineteenth century was the idea of invention itself." (42). Meaning inventions have helped our world become a better place why get rid of inventions? Inventions will always be fresh and new, technolgy, such as the telephone has created a way of life that could never be forgotten. We use all forms of human inventions everyday without even thinking about it.
The major invention of our world today is humans. In the novel Brave new world, Huxley states," Ninety-six identical twins working ninety-six identical machines." (7). With this, just as many humans create a new invention while the same amount of machines are creating the same amout of inventions or machinery that humans are. There's no doubt the industry of technopoly, technocracy and technolofy will continue to amaze us. It's just a matter of time that all human's will believe that machinery is taking over.
